Tanker Post Fixture Analyst

Maran UK Limited., part of the Angelicoussis Group is looking for a mid-level Tanker Post Fixture Analyst who is interested in pursuing a career at one of the world’s leading ship owners and operators.

The successful candidate will be working in London under permanent contract.

The position is best suited for an individual that has experience in the preparation and submission of not only freight/hire/demurrage claims, but also on non-demurrage claims (i.e., deviations/speed up/heating etc.). It is also highly recommended that the applicant has a good working knowledge of the standard Charterparty forms for the oil industry, and is familiar with dirty cargoes (i.e., crude and fuel).

Key responsibilities

• Calculation / preparation / submission of claims, both demurrage and non-demurrage;
• Calculation and collection of freight and hire;
• Negotiation of claims;
• Ensuring that cases are closed in a timely manner and recovery of funds is not delayed;
• Maintaining close co-operation with Operations, Tanker Chartering, and Legal Department;
• Updating internal systems with claim entries and weekly/monthly reports on claim performance.

Candidate must have

• At least 2 years of experience in Post Fixture/Claims.
• Very good command of the English language.
• Team spirit, excellent communication skills.
