Stores & Provisions Procurement Officer

Angelicoussis Group, one of the world’s leading ship management organizations is looking for an experienced and motivated Stores & Provisions Procurement Officer.


Key Responsibilities

  • Daily monitoring of assigned tasks from Procurement Director among Company’s Departments;
  • Assisting in analysing existing policies regarding supply chain of stores requested & approved by AG departments, suggesting potential synergies;
  • Contributing to the creation and monitoring of departmental KPIs, necessary to optimize purchasing strategies, regarding:
    • Sources of stores and provisions required by vessels and NBs
    • Existing and potential new contract arrangements
    • Overview of relative inventory management
  • Participating in daily briefings / de-briefings of Masters & C/Es, gathering required feedback;
  • Analysing purchasing audits’ results as provided by Purchasing, as well as Spares & Inventory personnel, following up relative action items;
  • Keeping track of all active contracts updating relative contract library;
  • Participating in necessary preparation of the negotiation of relative contracts;
  • Actively communicate with relevant departments regarding day-to-day tasks;
  • Effectively use all interconnected systems, including resolving IT/IS-related issues, troubleshooting, debugging, and providing specifications for the development of any new features ensuring their proper functioning as well as relative SAP purchasing module and reporting;
  • Participating in relative UAT of any implemented application/report;
  • Monitoring any centralized, live, reporting dashboard(s) involving all relevant reports associated with stores and consumables, leading to accurate analysis and reporting;

Job requirements

Candidate must have

  • A Bachelor’s degree (Engineering background or MSc in relevant field preferred)
  • Working experience of 3-5 years as purchasing operator or relevant position working in stores & provisions (proven negotiations experience preferred)
  • Proficiency in the English Language (written and oral) is a firm requirement.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proven ability to create and handle various reports using relative tools
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Ability to follow up on multiple action items while meeting relative deadlines
