Angelicoussis Group, one of the world’s leading ship management organizations is looking for an experienced and motivated Marine Fuels Operations Coordinator.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure flawless short-term and mid-term operations on term business in Singapore. Manage all fleets and maintain a very professional level with suppliers, ensuring value is maintained at all times for the group (short-term optimization);

  • Daily market pricing (short term/forwards);

  • Research the market daily to provide Chartering and Operation departments with information and options relating to bunkers, thus facilitating their decisions;

  • Evaluate bunkering options and cooperate with the Operations departments in order to plan bunkering in the optimum way (spot business);

  • Explore and negotiate with market vendors, follow up bunker market to conclude advantageous bunker deals in terms of prices, servicing and legal terms (spot business);

  • Follow-up physical deliveries with suppliers, Operations departments, and vessel officers to ensure smooth and timely bunkering operation;

  • Handle claims and disputes to safeguard the company’s interests and minimize impact;

  • Secure proper integration of the bunkering procedure and documentation in the company’s systems;

  • Coordinate with vessel officers to ensure proper implementation of bunkering procedures (briefings, debriefings, training);

  • Record keeping and filing of bunker and lubes orders;

  • Vendors’ assessment from a fuel quality, technical, operational, and integrity standpoint;

  • Assessment and recording of market forces relating to spot bunker deals;

  • Contribution to concluding term bunker contracts and relevant record keeping;

  • Monitoring fuel testing contracts and fuel-analysis performance;

Job requirements

Candidate must have

  • Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Maritime studies or a relevant field.

  • 5+ years of relevant working experience.

  • Excellent operational understanding of the MF businesses and its own fleet.

  • Able to perform under stressful situations in a stress-relieving way for the organization.

  • Excellent negotiation skills.

  • Excellent communication skills.

  • Excellent command of the English language.

  • PC Literate and excellent knowledge of the MS Office Suite.
