Job description

Maran Tankers Management Inc., one of the world’s leading ship management companies and part of the Angelicoussis Group is looking for an experienced and motivated HSQE Coordinator.


Key responsibilities

  • Update and maintain the HSQE database related to Incidents, Accidents, Near Misses, Non-Conformities, and Suggestions for Improvement;
  • Monitor and prepare statistical data and documentation related to HSQ and Environmental Programs;
  • Attend the Management Review Meeting and prepare quarterly Management Review Meeting (MRM) reports on HSQE programs;
  • Revise the company’s Safety Management System (SMS) manuals following DPA guidelines and ensure updates are communicated to vessels;
  • Follow up the “Management of Change” process;
  • Deliver timely SMS-related reports within company-stipulated intervals;
  • Coordinate the review and update of Risk Assessment/Job Hazard Analysis (RA/JHA) databases;
  • Prepare and issue quarterly HSSE bulletins for the company;
  • Develop HSQE presentations and training materials as required;
  • Provide SMS training and Shell Pillars training to Fleet personnel (ashore and onboard);
  • Plan and coordinate Company’s and Fleet external and internal audits;
  • Be a member of the Internal Audit team (ashore and onboard) if requested;
  • Participate in Emergency Team if requested;
  • Develop and improve procedures under the role’s responsibility;

Job requirements

Candidate must have

Education

  • A degree from an institution of higher education, recognized by relevant State and National Authorities.

Experience

  • Proven track record in HSQE-related roles in ship-management Companies, in the TANKERS sector
  • Previous experience in the issuance of MRM reports, statistical analysis of HSQE data, HSSE bulletins, and familiarity with Shell PnS

Skills & Abilities

  • Strong time management skills, with the ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Good analytical skills, with experience in gathering and interpreting HSQE data for reporting purposes.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and other relevant software tools for data analysis and report preparation.
  • Excellent communication skills, with fluency in English (both written and spoken).
