Job description

Maran Shuttle Tankers (“MST”) is the shuttle tanker shipping unit of the Angelicoussis Group. We are now looking for an experienced and motivated DP EIA Engineer.

The DP/EIA group is responsible to drive dynamic positioning (DP), electro, instrumentation and automation excellence by developing and verifying relevant Company standards and specifications.

DP/EIA is part of the Company’s core activities and work in cross functional teams to support business development, newbuilding, conversions, offshore loading and operations. You will join our company’s group of DP/EIA specialists and work closely with operations. The work will include taking part in general maintenance of automation and electro technical functions and give support to the shuttle tankers, ship teams and projects department. You will also provide service to key customers in the Offshore Loading Environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Treat safety and environmental compliance as a top priority.

  • Responsible for maintenance, operation, and repair of electric and electronic equipment, automation, navigation and radio equipment in cooperation with staff onboard and ashore.

  • Participate in update of drawings and approval of changes.

  • Ensuring that changes are done without any violations with respect to vessel FMEA and class notations.

  • Take part in following up maintenance of electrical installations onboard the vessels

  • Attendance onboard vessels and support inspections and testing.

  • Supporting the issuance of inspection / maintenance reports required by authorities

  • Maintaining relevant contact with subcontractors.

  • Keeping ship teams up to date on new products, applicable laws, rules and regulations.

  • Assisting on new building projects / conversions.

  • Input to vessels budget for electrical related matters.

  • Coordinating and providing input to the Vessel Technical and Lifecycle Planner for annual vessel planning activities.

Job requirements

Candidates must have

  • Education and training as Ship Electrician, graduated Electro Engineer or equivalent.

  • Ability to travel and assist if any electro technical challenges occur fleetwide.

  • Analytical problem solving, time management and decision-making skills.

  • Ability to respond positively to customers in an effective manner.

  • Demonstrates teamwork, interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Ability to prioritise tasks and adapt to a changing environment.

  • Knowledge of commercial and vessel operations

  • High Voltage skills and training, preferable.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.

  • Minimum 5 years relevant experience within the maritime- or offshore Industry
